Former PRO, Francis Cahill, has been appointed secretary of St. Joseph's for 2011. The club had sounded out a number of people in recent weeks and had drawn a blank, but Francis, who was already on the committee, stepped into the breach when the situation was becoming critical.
Given the long search the club are lucky to have to have found someone as capable as Cahill for the job. He did an excellent job as PRO and will be a good secretary. His professional approach and the commitment he has demonstrated in the past will stand the club in good stead for the coming year.
The whole club wish Francis the very best in his new role.
