Impressive win for seniors

St. Josephs Miltown clocked up a third win in the Cusack Cup following a 1-11 to 0-5 victory over Shannon Gaels this evening. This result didn't look likely at half time when Miltown trailed by 0-3 to 0-2 having kicked eight wides in the first half. However, a strong second half performance combined with the introduction of Graham Kelly for the last twenty minutes ensured a comfortable victory. Dessie Molohan continued his excellent scoring rate while the overall discipline and link up play was very good in the second half. Miltown's next game will be in two weeks against O'Currys in the O'Gorman cup. The team lined out as follows: Niall Quinn, Enda Malone, Kevin Burke, Brendan O'Brien, Gearoid Curtin (0-1), Gordon Kelly, Seanie Malone, Dara McDonagh (0-1), Micheal Malone, David Talty, Gary Egan, Brian Curtin, Dessie Molohan (1-4), Eoin Curtin (0-2), Joe Curtin (0-1).
