Results & Fixtures update

St. Josephs Miltown senior side went down to Cooraclare last weekend on a 2-8 to 2-5 scoreline. With three teams to be relegated this year from Div 1, this result unfortunately plunges Miltown into a relegation battle with only two games left to play. Goals from Gary Egan and Joe Curtin were not enough on the day where Miltown were short several players due to an ever increasing short and long term injury list. Miltown's last two games are against Clondegad and Doonbeg and these now take on a must win scenario.
The Junior A side continued their impressive recent form with a 5-7 to 2-7 victory over O'Callaghans Mills. Niall Quinn bagged a hat-trick on the evening which proved the difference.
The Junior B side unfortunately struggled badly to field on Sunday morning with Sean O'Brien keeping Vodafone in business for 30 minutes before the game as he gathered a team toegether. A younger and physically fitter Parteen side recorded a comfortable victory on the day. The highlight from a Miltown viewpoint was a tally of 1-3 from veteran Michael Howe with all his scores from play.
This coming Wednesday the senior side will hope to return to winning ways when they face Lissycasey in the 1/4 final of the O'Gorman cup.
