U16 County Semi Final Replay

U16 semi final replay ended in a draw again last night. Miltown 4-11 Naomh Eoin/O'Currys 3-14. Both teams must be highly commended for producing such a nailbiting game of a very high standard throughout. Miltown were losing by 1 point in injury time when full back Colin Hehir ventured forward & held his nerve, to point for Miltown to send the game to extra time. Chris Mongan and Sean Malone had scored Miltown's goals in the second half.

In extra time Sean Malone at last found some space and got two goals. With 6 minutes remaining in the extra time Miltown were 6 up and most people there assumed that the game was Miltown's but N Eoin/O'Currys pegged back St.Joseph's and leveled with the last kick of he game to send it to a second replay.
