St. Josephs Miltown senior side qualified for the 1/4 final of the John O'Gorman cup with a 0-13 to 0-8 victory over Doora Barefield last weekend. The result means that Miltown emerge from the four team group along with Cooraclare.
The team lined out as follows: Sean O'Brien, Eoin Corbett, David Cleary, Kevin Burke, Enda O'Gorman, Michael Hehir, Enda Malone, Sean Meade, John Meade, Micheal Malone, David Talty, Eoin Curtin, Kevin Keavey, Joe Curtin, Shane Curtin
The under-16 side have successfully qualified for the semi finals of the under-16 division 1 championship. They defeated Kilrush on a 0-13 to 1-1 scoreline and will now play Doora Barefield in their final group game. Well done to all concerned with the team and best of luck when the semi final comes around.
This weekend sees all three adult teams play at home in their respective leagues.
The senior side host upcoming championship opponents Liscannor on Saturday evening. This game is much looked forward to as a potential championship pointer and also to see if the team can build on their victory in the previous round over Kilmurry Ibrickane.
The Junior B side host Doora Barefields second string on Sunday while the Junior A side are to play Ennistymon on Monday evening. Both teams will be hoping to build on victories in the previous round.
