Results & Fixtures update

It has been a busy week on the football front as the season gets firmly into action at both adult and underage level.
On Saturday last, the senior side recorded their first competitive victory of the season when they defeated Eire Og on a 1-6 to 1-5 scoreline in the O'Gorman cup. A victory over St. Josephs Doora-Barefield in the final group game will gauarantee a 1/4 final spot.
The under-16 side remain firmly on course for a semi final spot after a 3-14 to 1-4 victory over Eire Og on Monday evening. This game was played in very difficult weather conditions but the team turned in a good performance on the evening.

This weekend sees a full weekend of fixtures. The Junior A side get the action underway with a fixture away to Lissycasey at the unusual time of a Friday at 5pm.
Next up on Sunday afternoon, an attempt is being made to resurrect a Junior B side within the club after an absence of a number of years. It is hoped that some ex-players will dust down the boots and return to the playing fields to ensure the survival of this team. The Junior B side are down to play Kilkee's second string in Miltown at 4:3O on Sunday.
The big fixture of the weekend is on Monday when the senior side are away to All-Ireland club finalists Kilmurry Ibrickane in Quilty in Round 3 of the Cusack Cup. This game will provide a very good barometer of Miltown's form at this juncture of the season.
Finally, the under-16 side will be away to Wolftones on Monday evening in Shannon.
Best of luck to all teams in action
