Results & Fixtures update

St. Josephs Miltown senior side went down to Kilkee in round 5 of the Cusack cup on a 0-9 to 1-4 scoreline. The absence of several regulars on the evening was to prove costly in what was a crucial game between two teams with aspirations of making a semi final spot. Kilkee led by 0-4 to 0-2 at half time but Miltown hit back with a Michael Barry goal on the resumption to hit the front. Unfortunately, Kilkee wrestled back control to edge a narrow victory.
The team lined out as follows: Niall Quinn, David Cleary, Gordon Kelly(0-1), Shane Curtin, Enda O'Gorman, Graham Kelly, Ian Sexton, Sean Meade, John Meade, Gary Egan(0-1), Michael Barry(1-0), Micheal Malone(0-1), Kevin Keavey(0-1),Joe Curtin, David Talty Subs used: Michael Hehir, Gearoid Curtin

The next game against Cooraclare has been deferred to Saturday next week due to a number of the team attending the wedding of Brian Curtin in foreign climes. Best of luck to Brian for the big day.

This weekend sees the Junior sides in further action. The Junior A side face a tough encounter away to Coolmen on Friday evening while the Junior B side make the trip to Ennis to play the Banner on Sunday morning.
